Can a webmaster help me.?

Question by PAK FAN: Can a webmaster help me.?
I need help from someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to web development.
I have personal experience on the net but i am not a pro.

Recently I decided to make a website to help people get more known on Youtube.
I have done all the designing and it is really turning out great.
Since I am using webs.com as my host we cannot use php and such things that i need to input a feature. (i have a premium account) This what they say:

“Premium service customers can use CGI/Perl. However, this type of programming is not available for free account holders, nor do we support the use of MySQL, MSACCESS or PHP. You can, however, link to remote scripts from your website.”

I was wondering if there was a way i could make a “points system”, whenever someone logs in or posts a comment they could get rewarded with points. Someone please help me achieve this.

You’ll probably want to upgrade your account. I can’t really see a way of doing this without using some type of scripting language. Even without a database, you could use a text file to store the data but you would need a way to write to this file (by using php or another language).

Webs.com DIY site builder for small business?

Question by yp_joe_arlington_887: Webs.com DIY site builder for small business?
Anyone have experience using sites like web.com for a small business ecommerce site? They have virtually no customer support untill you pay. I don’t want to pay to find out I can’t get what I want. I’m really confused about their premium service. If I pay for the premium service will my site address still read DOMAINNAME.webs.com? I have a domain name already. I just want it to read www.mydomainname.com Is there another site builder that will let you do that?

I would advise trying a place such as GoDaddy.com

They will allow you to host a real top-level domain name such as you have, and not just a sub-domain as webs.com and other such crappy places do.
