Question by DoggyDog: T-mobile customer support question.?
ok so i have A BIG PROBLEM. I contacted tmobile and they said they would ship me a new phone because my track ball was not working. However i tampered with the phone a litle bit and i got it to work again. But i still want the new phone. But as i was temparing with it i cracked one of the keys in half but its still on the phone. Will t-mobile charge me?…. Also does T-moile check phones sent back to them? PLEZ PLEZ PLEZ HELP
Best answer:
Answer by Nathan M First of all, it’s “Please” not “PLEZ”. Secondly, no T-Mobile will not charge you. They check for water damage or intentional opening or changing of the phone. If you just cracked it, it’s no different than dropping it. You’ll be fine, just send the phone back and you’ll never hear about it again. They just give it a quick glance then toss it.

Question by : If you have unlimited text messaging with Tmobile, would they charge you to text Canada?
I have been texting my friend in Canada, she says she has unlimited international texting. BUT I don’t know if I’m supposed to add international texting to my plan or not since I have unlimited texting. I also tried calling customer support but I don’t know what category this would fall under. Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Answer by Dfwteddybear You probably have unlimited US texting, so it would cost extra to text Canada.

Question by : new tmobile phone problems?
I just got the tmobile tap on 12/20/09. I tried to use it and i found out a couple things. I can send texts but cannot receive them. I can call everyone and be called by everyone except for my mom. I went to tmobile, changed my sim card, called tmobile, talked to tmobile customer support and tmobile techs, they said my account was fine, the techs couldnt figure out what was wrong so we made a trouble ticket. Anyone knows whats wrong????
Best answer:
Answer by kingkurry well it could very well be a problem with your phone. maybe a baseband issue. or it could be your phone settings. and make sure you go to an official tmobile store, and not an authorized retailer, i know more than some of the morons there.
it could also be a problem with your mom’s phone. or maybe nobody is texting u lol.

Question by Nick: tmobile sim unlock question?
I just bought a tmobile samsung vibrant and was wondering, after 90 days i can recieve a unlock code from tmobile customer support, but does this mean i still hqve to cotinue to pay the contract?
Best answer:
Answer by ya0tznii Yes. You still have to pay for your contract.
If a handset is ‘unlocked’ it means that it will accept a sim card from any network. But this has no bearing on the contract you are locked into with t-mobile. You pay t-mobile for the use of your own personal telephone number, which is contained within the sim card. What phone you put that card in makes no difference.
You are locked into a legally binding contract in which you agree to pay t-mobile for the use of your number.
Unlocking your handset simply means that you can use it with other sim cards should you wish to do so.
You can however, sell the handset once it’s unlocked. This is absolutely legal, and if you get a good price you can buy another (unlocked) handset and maybe make a profit.
So yes. You still have to pay for your contract. Sim cards and handsets are not related. They are interchangeable.

Question by shp.jc: Does anyone know how to install the HTC Modem for the TMobile SDA on a Windows XP system?
I’ve followed the manufacturer directions, TMobile’s customer support directions and searched Google.
Windows won’t “install” the driver, no matter what I do. So the modem doesn’t show up in the Control Panel’s Modem List and I can’t complete the rest of the setup/configuration.
Thanks

Question by Mocha Grande Filipino: Will Tmobile customer support charge me for deactivating a phone?
I just received a used sidekickLX that I purchased off ebay. I take my sim card out of my sidekick 3 and pop it in the LX but the LX is asking for the former username to log in. The username field is grayed out. How do log in as my self?
If Tmobile has to reset my phone, will this cost me anything?
Best answer:
Answer by his bbygrl it will not cost you anything to swap the phone. you must though call in and give the serial numbers from the phone. also be careful, because if someone registered the phone as lost or stolen it will show up in their system, and will not let you activate it. also the SIM may not be compatible with the device. make sure you ask them, and if it is not compatible, they should have machines that can copy your info onto a compatible SIM
