Answer by tj Years ago I played around with IRM (I heard about it from someone I ‘knew’ in the IT dept. at Valdosta State, where I think the program started) when I worked as a tech for a school district which ended up going with some other costly windows friendly program (that is so memorable I can’t remember the name) that I didn’t like as much.
Anyway IRM is a PHP/MySQL web based system. The Valdosta State IT dept used to have a relatively unpublicized demo version setup, though I doubt that exists anymore.

this software should be able to assist Support personnel at the helpdesk to takeover users screen remotely and solve their problems without having to go to the users location

I came to know that paragents has a good helpdesk software module which is integrated and well positioned to provide information that we would expect from an IT support software application. Any opinions.

Answer by SpeeDemon Not sure exactly what you mean by helpdesk. My company uses OnTrack for monitoring repairs on computers. It works well, but I would think that for “over the phone” type service it would be a little tedious.
